HERE Positioning Services are relying on crowd-sourced radio data from millions of devices to build a range of positioning solutions that make it possible to position devices anywhere in the world both indoors and outdoors. As a software developer in the HERE Positioning Services team in Tampere, Finland, you will be part of team developing scalable positioning related e2e services. Depending on your interests and experience you may be developing machine learning based systems or systems for statistics, analytics and business intelligence. You may be also responsible for development and implementation of the necessary tools, scripts and processes to allow easy deployment, monitoring, management and operation of the servers and databases.

You will work in HERE Positioning Services team with other engineers, designers, architects and positioning experts, and also in close collaboration with other HERE R&D teams located around the world.

We will fill the position as soon as we find a suitable candidate.The position is fixed term to the end of 2020.

You will be successful in this role if you are flexible and innovative in problem solving. You have the passion for high product quality, attention to detail and the following:

• Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or in similar technical degree
• Good knowledge of C/C++, Python, SQL and Linux development environment
• Experience in AWS or other cloud technologies is appreciated
• Ability to work efficiently under high pressure with tight deadlines and demanding quality objectives
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Fluent English, both in spoken and written form is required
