In our Cloud DBA Team you'll be working alongside professional DBAs with decades of experience from various data platforms and industries. You will also find ample opportunities to work with different Nordcloud teams from application development to cloud architects as well as with our customers . As a Cloud Database Administrator Your day-to-day work can be anything from customer data migration projects to providing specific DBA services. You will also work with both, cloud native PaaS services and standardized IaaS deployments in AWS, Azure and GCP.

Most common data platform technologies you will be working with are:

• Microsoft SQL server
• Oracle DB
• PostgreSQL / MySQL

Our ideal candidate has:

• Expertise working as a member of a DBA team or a as consultant DBA
• Experience from working in a customer facing role(s)
• Experience in designing DR and backup solutions for relational databases according to a given RPO/RTO
• Solid SQL experience, also procedural PL/SQL and/or T/SQL would be a plus
• Ability to optimise and tune queries, indexes and relational database schemas
• Proactive attitude ('hold my beer - I got this' attitude)
• Fluent English in writing and speaking

Skills that would be a big plus:

• Experience with Data Warehousing
• Skills in Powershell or other scripting languages
• Experience with AWS and Azure platforms
• Experience in database administration in public clouds
• Knowledge in any of these: MongoDB, DynamoDB, CosmosDB, Redshift, Cassandra, BigQuery
