We are looking for a Proposal Engineer, Civil to support on-going New-build power plant sales, with specific focus on German CHP market. The position is a temporary for 3 months. The location for this position is Vaasa, Finland. 

Proposal Engineer will be responsible for managing the Civil discipline of offering in co-operation with the bid-team and external partners and will also be involved in technical-commercial negotiations when needed.

Main Responsibilities

- Preparation of civil discipline of proposal packages, responding to customer’s tender specifications and drawings: 
    - Deviations & clarifications
    - Costs estimates
    - Drawings and supporting documents
- Support the proposal team in responding to customer’s technical specifications.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and ensure timely and accurate offering.
- Participation in techno/commercial negotiations with customers, partners and sub-contractors.

Requirements

- Deep understanding of Wärtsilä Energy Business’s Technical concept and customer requirements typical in the German CHP market
- Solid technical background in order to identify issues and propose the proper solution satisfying the requirements in the most optimal way
- Advanced understanding of costing and practical implementation
- Fluent written and spoken German and English language for daily activities is required
- Sense of urgency and good capability in prioritising
- Sense of ownership
- Team-work spirit
- Wärtsilä way of working understanding
- Suitable technical M.Sc / B.Sc degree in Civil Engineering
- Solid experience of engineering and implementing similar sized projects
- Previous experience in Sales and/or Technical Support related to German market.
- Multiple years of work experience in business environment and in structured and demanding organizations.
