Advisor, Trade Finance

Sandvik Group Treasury, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced trade and export finance professional. Being part of Group Treasury, Trade Finance is responsible for managing and operating trade finance instruments on behalf of entities within the Sandvik Group in form of support, know-how, procurement and processes of the instruments. We are now looking for a proactive and experienced Trade Finance Advisor to join our Trade Finance team. We are seeking candidates for one permanent and one temporary position until 30th of July 2020. These positions are based in Tampere where Sandvik has a global technology and manufacturing center for mining equipment.

Your responsibilities

Your role is to be responsible for the management of daily activities and to be part of dynamic advisor team, based in Finland and Sweden, fulfilling the following main tasks

• daily support to global Business and Product Area operations with the appropriate choice of payment terms, forms and instruments
• managing bank and export credit agency relations for trade and export finance products
• development and handling of bank guarantees and trade finance instruments in the Group
• involvement in maintaining relationship with banks and other institutions
• assessment and mitigation of country and other risks in connection to payment terms and trade finance related issues

Trade Finance team is responsible for providing advisory to increase the overall understanding of terms and instruments available for Sandvik entities, developing processes for the trade finance instruments and use of multibank trade finance system. You report to the Head of Trade Finance at Group Treasury in Tampere.

Your skills & qualifications

You have a university degree in Finance and a few years of experience in trade finance instruments or relevant and international business. You have understanding of trade finance and bank instruments as well as high level business understanding for sales and finance processes and credit & risk management.

Our ideal candidate is self-driven and service minded with good decision making and change management skills. You are a team player who enjoys working in an international and dynamic business environment. Good Excel skills are considered as a merit. The ability to speak and write fluently in English as well as willingness to travel is required in this job.
