Nokia is developing the leading edge 5G solutions in Tampere.

We’re looking for Verification Engineers and/or Specialists to join our LTE and 5G NR verification activities. Your tasks will be to create and develop test environments, create test cases, run simulations, analyze and debug the design, review documents, and create verification documentation for a SoC/IP block area. In Specialist’s role you may also contribute to our verification strategy. Focus areas for your work would be related to:

  • 5G Layer 1 verification and debugging on the world leading System-on-chips based on latest technology ASICs and FPGA’s.
  • 5G L1 IP verification with support of fixed-point models.
  • Working with experts of different areas to ensure most competitive solutions.
  • Cooperating with system engineers, RTL designers, HW/SW development, suppliers and other relevant functions to solve technical issues.
  • Supporting HW/SW bring-up and debug.

More detailed planning of your role in the team will be done based on your current skill set and interest areas.



 
 
 
We are looking for System-on-Chip (SoC) Engineers. If you are passionate about technology, have high motivation to learn new and work in international team, join us!
 
You would be participating in SoC system design, specification and ASIC/FPGA implementation.
 
If you are familiar with some of these areas, you can be the candidate we are looking for:
• VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog/UVM knowhow and some coding and modeling experience.
• Understanding of the SoC (ASIC/FPGA) design flow and process. 
• Knowledge of SoC (ASIC/FPGA) design and verification tools.  
• Fluent spoken and written English.
 
We are looking for more experienced or newly graduated persons or persons in the middle of studies. 

Requirements for this position (you should have something from there):

  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • Pro-activity, problem solving and communication in multi-site R&D environment.
  • Well-motivated and innovative to test & verify new 5G IPs and/or subsystems.
  • Good understanding of digital signal processing and related mathematics.
  • Knowledge on verification and/or modelling and/or object-oriented programming (System Verilog, UVM, Matlab, C++).
  • Big bonus: Wireless/telecom receiver/transmitter algorithm understanding radio standards, like 5G, LTE, WiFi.
