Junior HR Data Specialist

Today’s organisations are lead by data and HR, or as we call it ‘People Operations’, needs to be data driven function as well. Now we are looking for a person to support our small team in being data driven and be our go to HR datahack.

Our biggest project at the start of your employment is our 2020 compensation model and your role will be building a salary tool with our salary budget integrated to support our People Leaders salary discussions. You’ll be a pivotal member in our team and part of the biggest projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Building Excel and Google Sheet tools for managers and People Operations (i.a. leaver data, salary increases, training budget)
  • Creating forms and sheet templates to gather data
  • Creating reports, graphics and pivot tables on HR data (i.a. attrition, salary trends, benefit usage)
  • Helping in optimising employee costs
  • Helping to spec our HR Data Lake tool with our Global Payroll Specialist
  • Helping to activate new employee benefits in Central Europe
  • Facilitating salary increase rounds (2-3 times a year) and sitting in possible internal bigger global/country specific salary discussion forums

We wish from you:

  • You have excellent knowhow of Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • You are self-organised and not afraid to test out new things
  • You are able to ask for help when needed
  • You speak and write fluent English. Finnish, German, Dutch, Swedish or Polish are considered as a plus.
  • Interest in People Operations and/or business development from employee point of view
  • You have studied/are studying finance, HR, industrial business and management, computer science or mathematics
  • You already have some work experience from previously mentioned areas

About the position:

  • Starting time: ASAP
  • Position is at first temporary with 1-year contract
  • Flexible, 2-5 days a week as agreed (can be full time as well)
  • Work-time is flexible, but is normally between 8-18 on weekdays
  • Preferred work location is our Kamppi, Helsinki office (but you can also work from our Poznan, Stockholm, Amsterdam, London or Jyväskylä office).
  • You are part of a small team that offer centralised People Operations services from Finland & Poland to Nordclouds offices all around Europe
  • A valid EU working permit is a requirement
  • If you wish to have a more savvy title, just decide it and use it
