We are looking for an energetic and commercial-minded Director, UPM Biomedicals in Strategy & New Business Development, Technology located in Helsinki, Finland.

Biomedicum Helsinki, the center for medical research and training, is a leading environment that promotes medical research and training in Finland and supports cooperation between academia and industry. What you’ll do

• Increase business volume and profitability by developing biomedical product portfolio
• Create and implement business, sales and marketing strategy for biomedical products
• Lead strategic marketing and sales of biomedical products
• Create business relationships with potential customers and distributors
• Lead and develop Biomedicals team of highly competent experts

Who you are

The ideal candidate for this role has a strong background in life science / clinical sector (e.g. cell culture or wound healing applications), in new business development and business scaling. You are result-oriented, you have proven leadership skills and the capability to effectively manage multiple tasks at the same time.

• You have a Master's degree or higher in molecular biology, development biology, biomedicine, pharmacy, clinical work or other area, preferably with practical work experience on the area
• You have international experience from business and quality requirements in life science/clinical sector
• You have experience and demonstrated success in bringing new innovative products and technologies to the market
• You are business and customer oriented with entrepreneurial mindset and good presentation skills
• You are team player with proven leadership skills
• You have business proficiency in English
• You are willing and able to travel
