Chief Design Engineer, Advanced People Flow Solutions

As a part of KONE Technology and Innovation organization, Advanced People Flow Solution team develops new innovative services and solutions to our customers and end users. We also manage, maintain and further develop existing solutions to ensure solutions alignment globally with changing customer needs and KONE business targets.

As a Chief Design Engineer you lead technology development for elevator Destination Control System (DCS) in global environment together with DCS product owner and development team. Destination control systems are mostly used with elevators in luxury high-rise buildings around the world but also in other building segments. DCS system enables effective elevator traffic performance, modern outlook and acts as a key role in smart building integrations like together with building access control.

In this role, you are responsible of technology development activities, change management and managing engineering team activities to ensure product competitiveness, cost, quality, reliability, technical documentation and smooth full chain processes.

To succeed in this role you are capable to collaborate efficiently and execute product offering roadmaps together with product owner, development team members, system architects, partners and other stakeholders in global KONE organization.

We expect you to have:

• MSc or BSc degree in relevant field, preferably engineering or IT
• Min. 3 years of experience in R&D engineering, project management or similar
• Knowledge of embedded systems, electrification and SW in general
• General understanding of IoT, cloud systems and capabilities of these
• Product structure management skills in IT systems
• Curiosity for new technologies and working methods
• Capability to get things done with positive attitude
• Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills at least in English

You are team player with good networking skills. Collaborating and influencing people in cross functional and global teams in natural for you.
