Description of recruiting organization

 

Turku Center for Disease Modeling (www.tcdm.fi) is a research and research service organization at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Turku. TCDM provides state-of-art research facilities and expertise in studies in experimental animals to support both academic and industrial associated preclinical research.

Description of the position

TCDM is looking for a highly motivated senior researcher for fixed term employment from January 1st 2020 – December 31st 2021. The starting time is negotiable.

A successful candidate has a PhD degree in biomedicine, biology or a related field, strong scientific track record and high level of self-initiative and independency.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in working with in vivo animal models and modern cell and molecular biology techniques. Any previous experience on bioinformatics and the use of research data bases is beneficial. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills in English (both oral and written).

The salary is in accordance with the University of Turku salary system (for teaching and research personnel), which is 3100 – 3900 euros/month on average. There will be a six-month trial period in the contract.
