We are now looking for a Researcher for polymer chemistry/synthetic organic chemistry to the Product Development & TCS team in Lappeenranta, Finland.

What you’ll do

Your main task will be development work in the surface treatment of specialty paper by polymer, and /or synthetic organic chemistry. You will also follow and develop the performance of these products in the end-user applications.

Who you are

• You have a university degree in Science or Engineering (or in a relevant other discipline)
• You have minimum of two years of relevant work experience
• You have knowledge and practical experience in organic synthetic reactions and polymer chemistry. Knowledge of natural polymers is seen as a benefit
• You have good theoretical and practical knowledge of analytical methods
• You have the ability to work both independently and in teams, solve problems effectively and manage your time effectively when completing assignments
• You have the capability to build and utilize global professional network
• You are proactive, customer-oriented, socially skilled and interested in new technology and development
• You write and speak English fluently, other languages are seen as a benefit
