Role description

You will join Nixu’s newest business unit – Product Cybersecurity Services – which focuses on helping clients build products that are secure. By combining security tooling and secure development processes, we ensure that our clients can focus on what they do best and leave security to us.

Depending on your experience, you work as a (senior or junior) software security consultant and support Nixu’s clients in developing software that is secure. From designing security process steps (SDL, Secure Development Life-cycle) to helping the client with security requirements, you understand software security and how things get done. Having a good understanding of software or product development is critical to being able to talk the same language as the development teams.

Examples of typical activities include:

• Threat modeling workshops with technical focus
• Drafting requirements for client projects
• Supporting development teams with security questions
• Code reviews from security perspective
• Process development around secure development
• Security testing automation

Note that activities you’d focus on depend on your skill set. You can focus more on the processes and requirements or the more technical aspects of development.

What we wish from you

You have background in development or testing and have worked with software development before. You may have been a developer, architect or technical product manager. Being able to read and write code in the common languages (Java, C, C# etc.) is an advantage when working with teams in different fields. Having worked in or with Agile teams before is also a definite advantage as many of our clients do so as well.
