We are now looking for a Senior or Principal Scientist to join our Thermochemical conversions team. Thermochemical conversions research team focuses on development of industrially viable technologies to generate chemicals, fuels and power from renewables and side streams. We apply advanced catalyst and material technologies for syngas treatment and chemical synthesis and we have excellent facilities for R&D work from lab to pilot scale. We offer you a versatile work in the frontier of the renewable fuel research and a possibility to develop your skills in the fields of process engineering, analytical chemistry and catalysis.

• developing new technologies for thermochemical conversion processes
• playing a key role in the development of catalytic technologies for syngas treatment, planning of experimental work and apparatus in laboratory, bench and pilot scale systems and development of industrially viable technologies and IPR, examples being new bio-based chemicals or technology for decentralized power to liquid applications.
• actively explore new technologies and participate strongly in project planning, application writing and customer related work

• University degree at Master´s or PhD level in Chemical Engineering.
• Experience on process or catalyst development work
• Experience in selling projects and writing project proposals
• Good oral and written English skills.
• A can do - attitude and the ability to envision the future needs of potential customers are strong assets.

The candidate will be hosted in the Thermochemical conversions team in Espoo, in the Helsinki area.
