VTT – beyond the obvious.
-Master’s thesis project working on recombinant food ingredient production and characterization
-Scientific project work in the fields of protein production systems and food science
-Writing scientific reports and presenting research data
-At the end of the project work, completing a written Master’s thesis
- Completed bachelors’ degree in biotechnology
- Excellent laboratory skills and experience in molecular biology techniques
- Experience working with yeast or filamentous fungi
- Strong spoken and written English skills
- Motivated and willing to take initiative in getting projects accomplished
- You have strong communication skills
- Able to work both independently and as a member of a team
- Curious towards various scientific and technological challenges

We offer a great opportunity to develop technological competences in Industrial Biotechnology and Food Solutions research area together with VTT´s top experts. You will work as a part of the protein production and food solutions teams consisting of many motivated experts. The chosen MSc Thesis student will be paid a thesis fee instead of an employment contract.
