Job Description 

We are looking for a Summer trainee to join the Safety and Sustainability team, located at Metso Group Head Office in Helsinki. The position is a full-time traineeship starting in May 2020 (trainee period is max 4 months). In your position you will participate in and handle a variety of activities related to Metso’s safety and sustainability programs associated with work safety, responsible procurement, environmental management and climate program as an example. 
 
Typical tasks for a trainee include:

•    Participating in safety and sustainability communications and reporting
•    Assisting in internal safety and sustainability training and programs
•    Supporting in the execution of the Groups safety and sustainability action plan
•    Providing user support for our global HSE reporting system
•    Updating web content, intranet pages and support with social media posting

Requirements

•    Knowledge of GRI sustainability reporting standards is a benefit
•    Good communication skills 
•    Good know-how in Microsoft office (especially Excel)
•    A university student in the final stages of studies in economics, finance, business, environmental management, work safety, sustainability related studies, engineering
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team in an international environment
•    Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
•    Excellent written and verbal English skills (additional languages are a plus)
•    A flexible team player with good communication skills
