This position is part of the KONE International Trainee Program (ITP) and is an internship for university students or recent graduates. Within ITP you get to work and develop your skills in interesting and challenging projects and gain valuable international work experience already during your studies.

International Trainee, Environmental/Sustainability Communication, Hyvinkää, Finland

As the International Trainee – Sustainability / Environmental Communication, you will be responsible for creating and updating environmental communication plans and materials for KONE employees and management to increase environmental awareness, meet our customers’ expectations, and visibility of sustainability in KONE’s business globally. You will be working in close collaboration with environmental, HR, corporate communication teams, as well as other KONE units.

The location of the position is in Hyvinkää, Finland and you will report to the Environmental Manager at KONE’s global environmental team.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creating and updating environmental communication plans and materials using KONE’s official communication channels and tools
• Preparing training materials
• Improving environmental awareness culture by arranging eco-challenges and other environmental campaigns
• Support KONE units with applying for environmental awards or recognitions
• Participate in environmental process development
• Assist in environmental reporting or university collaboration

WE EXPECT YOU TO HAVE

• Suitable university studies in communications, environmental / sustainability or related technical field with at least 3-4 years completed or a recent graduate.
• Fluent in English, other languages considered as an advantage
• Customer oriented mindset
• Good collaboration and communication skills
• Independent, active, bold, innovative and pioneer way of thinking
• Willingness to work in Hyvinkää
• Not required but seen as an advantage:
  • ISO 9001-14001 knowledge / experience
  • Life cycle studies / thinking
  • Work experience from a relevant field
