International Trainee, Data Scientist, Hyvinkää, Finland

We are looking for a data scientist trainee to join the KONE Services and Solutions R&D team. In this role you are responsible for supporting and participating to KONE's solution development with data analytic methods & processing and improving data quality. This position provides good insight in how analytics are used as part of end-to-end solutions together with latest cloud technologies & big data.

TEAM DESCRIPTION

Our maintenance data analysis and engineering team covers the entire spectrum of modern industrial scale IOT solutions, including, e.g., edge analytics, cloud computing, data pipeline design, data monitoring, etc. This is a good opportunity to join a team consisting of top professionals from multiple fields to learn from.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities will depend on the applicants background, since the team covers variety of topics. They may include for example data preparation jobs such as data extraction, cleaning, and basic level data analysis jobs to support Digital cloud based product / services improvement.

WE EXPECT YOU TO HAVE

• Master's level studies or a recent degree in Computer Science, Statistics or Applied mathematics or an Engineering background.
• Strong self-motivated attitude and quick learning skills
• Big data knowledge and IoT technologies is seen as a plus.
• Good English writing and speaking skills.
• It is seen as an advantage if you have experience in using data analysis tools or languages, for example Python.
