Would you like to challenge and deepen your training skills within the core of paper and board business? Do you share our passion in technology and the commitment to move our customer’s performance forward?

We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated person to join and strengthen our Board and Paper Mills’ Customer Training team. The purpose of the customer training is to instruct customers in the proper use and maintenance of new paper and board production lines, rebuilds, individual products and sets of equipment. The goal is to furnish customers’ personnel with the skills required to operate and maintain the Valmet equipment independently and in a safe manner.

As Customer Training Specialist, you will be responsible for automation trainings of paper and board machine finishing equipment (coaters, calenders, reels, winders and chemical systems). Your role includes preparing and developing of training materials in cooperation with other customer training specialists, training designers, engineering, R&D and documentation department. You will carry out theoretical classroom trainings on customer sites globally and you will also guide the trainees at machine visits. In this role, you have a chance to manage and develop your own responsibility area and shape new educational contents related to our automation products and processes to create high-quality learning experiences.

Expectations to you

You have a suitable technical education such as Bachelor’s degree in automation engineering, and experience of some of the finishing equipment. Knowledge of automation systems ValmetDNA and/or Siemens PLC is required. Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics and lubrication systems is also well appreciated.

You are a team player who can easily adapt to different cultures and working environments. Your communication and presentation skills are excellent and you enjoy working with our customers.

You need to be fluent both in Finnish and in English, other languages are an advantage. Mastering of MS Office tools is an essential skill to have or to develop.
 

In addition, you need to have willingness to travel to our customer sites. Site visits last typically 1 – 2 weeks (approx. 50 – 100 travelling days per year).
