Job Description

Metso is now looking for a Forwarding Coordinator to join our Delivery team in Valves business unit in Vantaa. This is a maternity leave substitution for approximately one year.

As a Forwarding Coordinator, you will be responsible for export shipments, organizing transports, billing and creating export documents according to official regulations. Preparing shipping documents and coordinating project deliveries in close cooperation with our customers and our internal stakeholders is an important part of this role. You will also be handling Letter of Credit reviews, shipments and presentations to banks. As a team member, you get to participate in the development of performance and projects of Delivery team.

You will be responsible for carrying out the arrangements for transportation and export customs operations together with both domestic and foreign freight forwarders, primarily using Metso's partners. Delivery team’s work is divided in categories and tasks will vary according to the category you are working with.

You will be working closely with different stakeholders, both internal and external, for example sales, order processing, project managers, packaging and dispatch departments and variable forwarding agents.

To Succeed

To succeed in this role, you should already have experience in logistics and knowledge of transportation, deliveries and logistics. You have a relevant degree in logistics or business and good IT-skills, especially in Excel. You have sufficient communication skills in both English and Finnish. Experience in ERP systems is a benefit. Our team works using Lean methods, so knowledge or interest in it is a plus.

You are a dynamic and efficient person with the ability to work independently as well as a part of a team. You are at your best in hectic work environment and able to manage your own workload by prioritizing and organizing tasks. If you have positive attitude and work well with others, you will fit our team great.
