Outotec Research Center in Pori, Finland is one of two Outotec’s in-house research and product development centers. The Pori facility focuses on mineral technology, metallurgical research (hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy and ferroalloys technology) and material technology. Experimental research covers hydro, pyro and mineral technology laboratories, pilot plants and analytical laboratory.

• Conduct different laboratory experiments, analysis and pilot scale tests related to mineral technology and metallurgy in our laboratories and pilot plants (as Laboratory Technician Trainee)
• Support the Research Center Maintenance team in various laboratories and pilot plan equipment maintenance (as Maintenance Trainee)
• Join us on our mission “Sustainable use of Earth’s natural resources” and help our customers meet their sustainability goals
• Have the opportunity to work with leading technology and top industry experts of the field

• A relevant study background, either from laboratorian / process technician or maintenance
• Knowledge of basic IT tools
• Availability for shift work if required
• A positive can-do mindset and a proactive approach to work
• Eagerness to learn more, develop and succeed
• An ability to work as part of a team, while also working independently on certain tasks
• Good communication skills in Finnish and at least basic written and spoken in English
