Launching new products
You have an opportunity to join our Business Risk & Controls department and help Danske Bank Customer Service Delivery (CSD) to provide excellent service by implementing and overseeing conduct risk and non-financial risks, when launching new products.

As a Business Operational Risk & Controls Manager, you will act as a first line of defence, which means you will interact closely with the business areas in CSD and with second line of defence.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that risk processes are delivering intended value to Danske Bank employees and customers.

Depending on your experience, skills, knowledge and desire
You might be offered a position of Senior Risk Manager with a focus on conduct risk and driving the transition to the RCSA method for risk assessment or with responsibility for the NAPA (new amended product approval process) for CSD.

The role responsible for the NAPA/product approval process will work independently across the Group to design, how the product approval process will be run out of CSD ensuring we live up to our policy for product approval (ensuring risk assessment, operational readiness assessment). You will be the link between the business areas in CSD (e.g. Financing, Daily Banking Services) and the Business Units (Banking DK, Wealth Management etc). You will set up the structure in CSD, involve the right people and drive this product approval process in CSD.

The role responsible for conduct risk will do deep dive analysis on theme based conduct areas i.e. adherence to rules for ‘gift’s and hospitality’ (and other non financial risk types), report and present them – and drive improvement initiatives based on the findings. Furthermore you will drive development of new risk processes for example our transition to the RCSA method or theme based scenario analysis.

Globel Diversed team
You will become a part of the international risk team with 17 employees based in Copenhagen, Helsinki and Vilnius. Depending on your country of origin, you can be located in any of these countries.

Based on Danske Bank enterprise risk management and other policies i.e. non financial risk policy requirements, design/adopt operational risk management processes.

Main responsibility
Set guidelines, metrics and reporting standards
Train and educate Danske Bank managers, team leads, risk ambassadors.
Contribute to building overall quality and risk strategy, tools and processe.

We expect you to have

  • +5 years’ of experience non financial risk management in financial institutions
  • Top tier academic/professional capabilities with a proven track record of designing and driving change/development of risk frameworks
  • Experience with conduct risk and/or product risk approval
  • You are result-oriented, pro-active, supporting and driving changes
  • Effective communication, cooperation skills and ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of seniority
  • Ability to break down policies and frameworks into actionable and value adding guidance
  • Strong sparring skills and ability to stand your ground
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
