Wärtsilä Projects Oy, Energy Business - Construction and Commissioning Services is now looking for a home-based Commissioning Manager.
This position offers you an opportunity to use and enlarge your expertise in an international and dynamic environment, working on new build power plant commissioning works. Projects, production locations, Wärtsilä offices, customers and suppliers can be found all over the world. This position will therefore see you travelling abroad, around the world, approx. 250 days a year.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and plan Project’s commissioning management already in the home office together with project team and other necessary stakeholders before mobilising to site.
  • Manage the day to day activities of the Project’s Commissioning team at site
  • Coordinate with Customer, Suppliers and Contractors to prepare the necessary documentation and procedures for a smooth and safe start-up
  • Maintain good communication practises with the stakeholders concerning activities related to testing and commissioning
  • Plan, lead and manage start-up, performance tests and handing-over activities at site
  • Prepare a final commissioning report to summarise commissioning challenges, solutions, and recommendations for future improvements and lessons learned
  • Maintain and strengthen good customer relations and team spirit at site 
  • Safeguard the compliance with HSSE policies and minimize the risks
  • Requirements:
  • M.Sc. of B.Sc. in Engineering
  • Working experience in similar tasks preferred 
  • Good leadership, communication, team building and negotiation skills 
  • Willingness to learn and adapt new technologies 
  • Ability to adjust to a wide range of conditions and cultural environments 
  • Project Management knowledge is an advantage 
  • Good command of English, both oral and written 
  • Other languages are seen as an advantage
