ABB Motors and Generators deliver a complete range of motors, generators and mechanical power transmission products for all industries and applications. In this role, you will be responsible for identification, exploration and implementation of technology/product development and growth strategies within the Division to enhance and secure ABB´s global position and profitability in the medium/long term. Ensure project execution. Foster innovation and develop and secure research and development (R&D)capabilities.

Your responsibilities

Managing overall development portfolio and roadmap. Securing the cross-functional commitments and required resources from production units, together with global product management function. Mentoring and providing guidance to project managers and share lessons learned, together with local/hub R&D managers. Coordinating and securing the quality and timely administrative reporting globally of all the R&D projects. Your background

A M.Sc. or Ph.D. in engineering or physics, with preference in electric power engineering and specialization in electrical motors At least 10 years of working experience At least 3 years of previous experience in a management position or managerial experience, as well as experience of organizational leadership, R&D processes, platforms and working in a global working environment. Knowledge of products, manufacturing processes, as well as team-building. Knowledgeable or Experience of Lean Six Sigma Fluent written and spoken skills in English Self-driven and results focused Commitment to managing change, Effective communicator and Organizational skills
