The IT function at Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology is responsible for all IT services across the business area. We provide true ownership and governance of common processes and IT systems, and ensure successful delivery aligned with business needs – always with continuous improvement on top of mind. We’re now looking for a Solution Architect for MDM to join our team of talented experts in a fast-paced and international environment. Welcome to a challenging role where you get to work close to our core business and have great opportunities to grow – both personally and professionally!

Join the exciting world of Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology
Our constantly evolving offering of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for mining and rock excavation covers rock drilling, rock cutting, crushing and screening, loading and hauling, tunneling, quarrying and breaking and demolition. No matter the terrain, material or ground hardness – we aim to engineer solutions that make mining and rock excavation safer and more profitable. Bringing your experience and drive into the equation, you help us achieve our goals!

Your mission – transforming business needs into high quality solutions

In this role, you translate business needs into technical requirements, and you offer guidance for designs, development and implementation to ensure a best practice delivery. You propose high level solution outlines and create cost estimates for new requirements and, by creating clearly defined instructions and structured documentation, you track and control our technical project scopes. Collaborating with stakeholders, developers and architects at our different IT departments to drive and coordinate resolution of complex work items is an important part of your job, and you’re responsible for the delivery of service towards the business. By motivating, guiding and training your colleagues, you also contribute to a team that ensures high quality and on-time delivery!

The location for this position is either in Tampere (Finland) or Sandviken (Sweden) as there are team members on both sites. Some global travel is a natural part of your job.

Your character – enthusiastic problem solver with a passion for data, integration and development

We’re looking for someone with a relevant university degree or equivalent knowledge gained from a working career. You have experience from Master Data Management and in acting as an MDM architect or MDM developer, while it’s beneficial with knowledge within SAP master data. It’s great if you also have an understanding of business processes within the manufacturing industry. You have also gained solid competence in integrations and you understand the value master data can bring to reporting and analytics. As you work in a global environment you need to be fluent in English.

Your personality is important to us! You’re a confident professional and have the tenacity to move forward, even in times of challenges. Being confident in working independently you easily drive your own projects and at the same time you’re a team player who values collaboration. With your excellent problem-solving skills and an analytical mind, you are also skilled in balancing theory and practical reality.

At Sandvik, we believe that diversity of experience, perspective and background leads to a better environment for our employees, our business and our customers. We’re looking forward to meeting you!
