We are looking for a Business Development Manager – Central Inverter Service at ABB Oy, Smart Power business line in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki. You will be working in the solar inverter product management team. This position offers also a future opportunity in sales, service or product manager in the field of renewable energy. You will have the opportunity to further your career in a global company with a strong market share in the solar inverter business and commitment in new energy solutions. As announced last July, ABB and the Italian company FIMER S.p.A have signed an agreement for FIMER to acquire ABB’s solar inverter business. Both companies will ensure a smooth transition for customers and employees. Transaction completion is expected in the first quarter of 2020 which means that this role will be in the new company.

Your responsibilities

    Service business development for central inverters. Coordination with Global Solar Service team for harmonization of the service offering and operations across the company. Understand the market and secure that the Solar Service portfolio of central inverters meets the market and customer requirements by giving input to R&D projects. Identify and evaluate the potentials to increase global service sales revenues and implement actions to initiate new service sales. Ensure support for sales, marketing and operations. Training of local sales and service teams as well as distributing the information regarding the service product updates and changes. Support the bidding efforts of Solar Sales units that require service offerings.

Your background

    A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in electric power technology or energy technology. Experience in global b2b service business. Cooperativeness and drive to deliver results in multiple simultaneous projects. Ambition to learn and take responsibility. Willingness to travel globally (approximately 50 days a year). Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English. Finnish is an advantage. Ideally, you have experience in solar inverter business and digital platforms. Experience on renewable energy systems is beneficial. Know-how on designing solar photovoltaic plants is an asset.
