Wärtsilä Marine Business’s STH Manufacturing Excellence is looking for a Development Expert Trainee to STH Manufacturing Excellence team. Organisation supports, coordinates and secures the maintenance and development of manufacturing execution system (MES) in DCV. In this position the responsibility would be leading the development and the support for MES in DCV. To be a contact point for operative stakeholders: machining, assembly, test run & finishing, and logistics departments where the MES is used. To be a second level support and coordinated the issues and development tasks with supplier. Be responsible that supplier delivered solutions are tested and approved to production. Responsible of the reserved budget for MES related topics.

The position is located in Vaasa, Finland. 

Responsibilities

- Coordinate the issues and development tasks with supplier
- Support stakeholders in MES related topics with training etc.
- Define and prepare technical specifications for new required functionalities 
- Participate in production development projects and secure that MES is supporting new way of working

Requirements

- BSc or MSc studies in Engineering 
- Knowledge of Apriso MES (or other similar MES program)
- Knowledge of DCV processes and way of working
- Systematic and organised way of working, good problem solving skills
- Good communication and team working skills
- Fluency in Finnish and English
