We now have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Operations Project Manager to join our team in Hyvinkää, Finland or Pero/Slimpa, Italy.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • The Supplier Operations Project Manager (SOPM) drives and coordinates tasks which are aiming to ensure Supplier(s) readiness of assigned projects, primarily supported by Sourcing , Supplier Quality Management and Supplier(s) organizations.
  • SOPM will act as Project Manager for major Sourcing projects (like 2nd source, production transfers, localizations, new suppliers plant, main IT Changes at suppliers) or as member of Project Core Team for R&D projects, through which KONE introduces new products or solutions into market.
  • SOPM needs to ensure that KONE operative processes will work with suppliers swiftly during prototyping, piloting and volume ramp-up. This will ensure trouble free continuum for the full volume period.
  • SOPM needs to use Project Management tools and lead reporting of designated projects at KONE leadership forums, such as weekly KONE PD (Product Development) Flow reporting, KONE PD or CRs projects’ milestone steerings.

SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Project Management skills and experience.
  • Preferably Master of Science, in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Proven experience as Operations Project Manager in New Product Development, Sourcing Project Manager, R&D Project Manager, Industrial Engineering Project Manager (Creating & improving manufacturing lines), R&D Project Manager, NPI Engineer (Introducing new products to manufacturing lines), Supplier Quality Engineer (Maintaining supplier quality of current products), Quality Engineer (Running and operating in different Quality Assurance roles) or Technical Design Engineer (Creating new or maintaining current product designs)
  • Leadership and ability to lead people and teams
  • Willingness to take responsibility
  • Good negotiation and interpersonal skills, customer service attitude and ability to solve problems and influencing skills in order to get other organizations’ people committed and working for goals
  • Cross-cultural knowledge
  • Fluent level of English, additional languages are a plus
