Wärtsilä Marine Solutions is looking for a Development Engineer Trainee to join their STH Manufacturing Excellence team. Team is working at Vaasa in STH Manufacturing Excellence unit and is responsible planning and execution od STH Manufacturing facilities and process STH products. Work includes strong co-operation with different stakeholders, like manufacturing, product design, purchasing and quality. We offer you a possibility to work with a team of manufacturing experts from different areas, interesting tasks and possibility to participate in production and supply chain development, but also developing yourself.

Position will be located in Vaasa, Finland

Responsibilities

- Planning of future supply chain and manufacturing process for large components
- Planning manufacturing methods for component production together with MTAC project and manufacturing experts
- Participate in product development projects and supplier development
- Perform problem solving when needed
- Creating design improvement and development ideas to product design

Requirements

- Experience in manufacturing technologies, especially machining
- Knowledge of supply chain principles
- Few years in machining workshop seen as benefit
- Know-how in different component production technologies
- Systematic and organized way of working and problem solving skills
- IT-skills such as MS Office are expected, SAP skills as benefit. Also CAD/CAM experience is appreciated. 
- Good communication and team working skills 
- Language skills: English, Finnish, other languages are seen as an advantage.
