The Challenge Ahead

Tracktwenty is Electronics Arts mobile game studio based in the centre of Helsinki. The studio is responsible for bringing SimCity BuildIt to tablet and mobile and the game has more than 200 million installs to date. As well as growing SimCity BuildIt, the studios passionate team of programmers, artists, designers, marketers and analysts are working to create the next big hit to come out of Finland for EA Mobile.

Role requirements

  • Work with our creative teams to design, develop, deploy, and maintain tools, workflows, and pipelines to improve production efficiency for our mobile titles.
  • Understand and communicate asset optimization to help improve art assets so they are used efficiently but maintain visual quality across a variety of mobile devices.
  • Create tools for artists.
  • Work with other engineers to identify and implement art-pipeline optimizations and to create technical benchmarks to be used in production.
  • Offer technical support to the art team in day-by-day production issues.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Work and collaborate with the essential client team members (Art, Programming, Production, etc.).

Skills

  • You will have completed at least 1 mobile game in a Technical Art position.
  • Proficient in using scripting languages
  • Demonstratable knowledge of working with Unity game engines
  • Proficient in 2D and 3D art packages: Blender etc….
  • The ability to think creatively to resolve technical challenges and limitations.
  • Enjoying helping bridge the gap between Artists and Engineers, creating solutions to help the development teams
  • An avid gamer is a plus.
