We are looking for a (Senior) Development Manager to our Electrical & Automation team in Technology and Product Management in Energy Business. The position location is Vaasa, Finland.
 
Your main area of responsibility is Medium and High voltage product and system management and development. You will have possibility to work in a broad range of activities from leading development projects, take-to-market as well as product management.

Responsibilities

- Manage and lead the development activities of Medium- and High voltage product and system rated from 1kV together with partners and suppliers
- Coordinate external and internal development projects - both current portfolio and new products
- Work closely with internal teams; engine development, grid codes & power systems, supply management etc. for joint developments roadmaps, #together, enabling our Energy Strategy
- Manage the current product portfolio of MV and HV related products and system
- Present new products & solutions to internal audiences  
- Oversee take-to-market activities for new products
- Provide support and training to sales and projects
- Secure product lifecycle support for our customer in close collaboration with Services
- Proactively connect with customers and listen to feedback
- Drive Wärtsilä’s Purpose and demonstrate Wärtsilä’s Value

Requirements

- MSc/BSc in relevant field (Electrical)
- 4+ years of professional experience of which multiple years as expert in medium- and and high- voltage related areas
- Project and product management experience (PMP or similar is seen as an advantage)
- Experience in leading and coordinating activities and communicating easily with various stakeholders in an international environment
- Understanding of energy market key trends, with ability to translate these into actions
- Ability to think out-of-the-box and challenge conventional ways of working
- Strategic mindset and scenario work, seeing the big picture and plan for the future
- Solid understanding of bringing new products to market 
- Natural ability to connect newbuild- and lifecycle strengths and opportunities together
- Good analytical skills, as well as creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent planning and execution skills
- Fluent written and spoken English
