WHY YOU SHOULD APPLY 

We are growing our world-class marketing and design team and are looking for a creative copywriter to join us in Helsinki, Finland. You’ll work directly with our heads of marketing and design to tell the Yousician story through writing, video and audio, across our multiple touchpoints. You will be the day-to-day driver of the consumer and industry marketing voice at Yousician, and help to celebrate the “human” in our product design, aswell the opportunity to expand the brand story to new audiences and channels.

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

• Maintain a strong brand voice and editorial POV for written and video content
• Write an intuitive and memorable copy that defines how Yousician shows up across different channels like ads, videos, emails, marketing websites, and mobile applications
• Research and recommend story angles that bring music and music education to life for current and future Yousician users
• Play a role in developing new communications channels like newsletters, an editorial blog and social media
• Develop and write briefs and scripts to create videos and long-form stories. Collaborate with designers, producers, videographers, talent and outside agencies to oversee production.

WHO YOU ARE 

• Required: 5+ years experience working as a copywriter, journalist or editor
• Experience writing copy for ads, products, social media, app stores, brand materials, and branded editorial content
• Highly creative and able to develop and internally pitch ideas for stories in a variety of formats
• Exceptionally strong writing and editing skills, native or equivalent command of U.S. English, and attention to linguistic details
• Experience working at a media agency or publisher preferred
• Experience working as part of a creative team to integrate writing and stories with visual creative, advertising needs, and digital products
• Solid understanding of the digital marketing ecosystem, including digital success metrics
• Self-driven and able to work independently with minimal oversight
• Mission-driven with a strong interest in music and/or music education preferred
