In this role you will be part of our Sensors team and work on the design, implementation, and testing of our SpO2 parameter technology with access to world-class engineering facilities. You will be at the core of our mission to create advanced and reliable sensors for novel patient monitoring systems.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Your main responsibility is to design, develop, and maintain embedded software related to data acquisition, signal processing, and physiological measurement algorithms for SpO2 patient monitoring sensors
  • Develop, improve, and follow well established principles for building robust and high-quality software products that are efficient and easy to maintain
  • Develop the test frameworks and test cases and look for continuous improvements by analyzing the data from test results
  • Teamwork in Agile SW teams. Collaborating with other teams and partner organizations locally and off site.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Significant experience with C/C++ programming for embedded systems
  • Good understanding of low-level embedded hardware, peripherals, drivers, low-power optimizations, and real time operating systems
  • Open and curious mindset willing to approach cutting-edge technology challenges
  • Team player attitude and good collaboration skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
  • EU work permit

Desired Characteristics

  • Understanding of measurement technologies like PPG, and technologies for continuous data acquisition is considered an asset
  • Experience with physiological data processing and measurement algorithms for sensor data acquisition is considered an asset
  • Experience with MATLAB and Python programming
  • Experience with embedded systems automated testing
  • Familiar with Agile software development methods
  • Experience with version control systems like Git, code review tools and the practice of continuous integration
