The Nordcloud Advisory team helps customers transform and evolve their business through the use of Public Cloud technologies. As part of an entrepreneurial team in this rapidly growing business, you will help shape the future of businesses of all sizes use technology to connect with customers, employees and partners.

As a Modernization advisor, you will bring your experience and thought leadership to help drive modernization strategy. Your goals are to deliver impactful, customer-relevant business outcomes and enable repeatable, low-friction solutions-based selling. You will develop short-mid-long term strategies enabling the delivery team to develop an executable plan.

You will identify and parse industry trends in Cloud computing to recommend, plan for, and address core customer challenges for Cloud Native Modernization. You will interface directly with customers, both helping them to understand Nordcloud’s offerings and gathering their feedback. Finally, you will recommend ways to adapt to changes.

Your responsibilities include:

• Assessment of an application and infrastructure estate
• Planning/migration of substantial number of applications to a Public Cloud
• Containerization/orchestration technologies –Cloud Native
• Recommending cloud IaaS-PaaS solutions with Cloud Native tools
• Modern development and cloud architecture experience (CI/CD, microservices, container/orchestration platforms)
• Cloud Security recommendations – including the impact cloud has on customer/regulatory policy and their corresponding security controls
• Travel to customer sites, conferences, and related events as required
• Support the Sales team during pre-sales engagements related to Cloud Migration and Cloud Operating Model

To be successful in this role we expect you to have:

• 10 years cloud experience combined with experience working on large cloud initiatives and/or direct experience working IT transformations where Public cloud was a key enabler.
• Significant experience of the major Industries in particular Manufacturing and Financial Services

• Expert level skill in Cloud technology (Development Ops productivity, hybrid multi-cloud integration, PaaS) and In as a Service (IaaS), cognitive computing, API's, Cloud Privacy and Security)
• Good knowledge in Containerization, Micro-Services and API development utilizing Kubernetes platforms and RedHat OpenShift experience is preferred (architecture).
• Understanding of the current state of the art for infrastructure automation, continuous integration/deployment, SQL/NoSQL/NewSQL, networking, and cloud-based delivery models.
• Business case modelling skills (i.e. Cloud total cost of Ownership vs Business as Usual purchases)
• Ability to position Cloud technology against industry solution requirements.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills;
• Self-driven, detail-orientation
• Ability to work collaboratively and productively with geographically dispersed teams
• As we have varying opportunities to work internationally, requirement to travel is minimum 25% in Finland and other locations in Europe.
