Aalto University School of Business is looking for interns to the International Business Unit at the Department of Management Studies!

What would I do during the internship?

You would be working with the faculty on academic research projects, teaching related tasks and assignments about societal impact. Potential tasks include data collection and analysis, conducting literature reviews, statistical analyses, research interviews, and any other research tasks. The topics you may work on are varied and broad, e.g. headquarters (re)locations, diversity, sustainability, human resources, and international entrepreneurship.

We have a need for several interns. Some internships may already start in the spring and continue throughout the summer and others may start in the summer and continue throughout the academic year. There is a possibility to work full time or part-time, with flexibility based on mutual preferences.

What’s in it for me?

As a member of our community, you will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with what an academic career is like and learn research skills on the job. These skills will not only be helpful in your Master’s thesis but are also in demand in many professions outside academia. If you decide to pursue an academic career, you will benefit greatly from an early integration into the research community. And of course, you will get flexible working hours and a salary (regular internship pay). While the work is mostly independent, there is also team work in projects and you will be a member of a great team, including other interns.

What is required?

We are looking for active BSc and MSc students at Aalto. First and foremost, we want dedicated people who fit well into our community and who have a genuine interest in international business and research. Good skills in written English is a requirement, skills in Finnish, Chinese or other languages is a benefit. Knowledge and interest in statistics is a plus. The ability to confidently set up and conduct interviews in an engaging manner with senior managers is also a plus.

How can I apply?

Include in your application a personal motivation letter, CV, and a transcript of your university grades. If you have a bachelor’s thesis or other suitable writing sample, please submit that.  Submitting a writing sample is not required. The application deadline is March 1, 2020. Please, submit your application to our e-recruitment system through the link below.
