We are now looking for a 

Project Manager for EIT programs

for Innovation Services. This is a fixed term position (parental leave for the period 1.3.–31.12.2020).

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) forms a solid part of the European Union framework program Horizon 2020. EIT connects business, education and in dynamic border crossing partnerships known as Knowledge and Innovation Communities – KICs.

Aalto University is a partner in six EIT KICs: 1) Climate-KIC, which is concentrated around challenges within climate change, 2) EIT Digital, where a world-class information and communication society is created, 3) EIT Raw Materials, which ensures the availability, usability and sustainable use of raw materials within business and society, 4) InnoEnergy, 5) Urban Mobility and 6) Manufacturing.

As a Project Manager your task is to be assigned to two EIT Digital and EIT Urban Mobility. Working with the academic leaders of the KICs and the support services at Aalto, project manager will coordinate Aalto’s EIT activities in the university, nationally and internationally. EIT KICs’ activities consists of education, research related innovation and business activities. We expect broad experience of the core functions of the university.

You will be responsible for the smooth administration as well as overall communication of the EIT activities, and together with the team, in developing the EIT operations at Aalto, especially education programs.

• higher education 
• experience of international project management,
• fluent written and spoken English skills  
• independent and active way of working
• willingness to perform in demanding tasks and good negotiation and cooperation skills

We appreciate the knowledge of the European Union funding programs and the university field and abilities in project management. Also own research experience and doctoral degree preferably from areas of digitality or urban mobility and special interest in education is highly valued.
