Business Process, IT Application Specialist, Teamcenter PLM

Sandvik SMRT IT Supply is the Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology’s (SMRT) internal organization responsible for applications, databases and cloud services, managing IT Supply both in terms of our internal IT production, external suppliers and managed services. Teamcenter and PLM/PDM Competence Center is a group of global experts working closely together with Sandvik Business Areas in their PLM programs. Teamcenter is an important, widely used, growing application area for SMRT. To answer the increasing demands, we are now looking for a new team member to our Competence Center. The location for this position is Tampere.

Your mission

  • Participate in system evaluation, contributing with business process knowledge
  • Configuration of the application
  • Participate in systems development with evaluation of solutions
  • Interact and participate in discussions with other IT departments, vendors and key users
  • Translate business requirements to technical and process documentation
  • Provide insight to system design and operation
  • Act as the subject matter expert for application usage, configuration and design, user experience, and data integrity
  • Proactively identify risks and perform risk analysis
  • Participate in support processes

Your skills and qualifications

You have a suitable technical degree or you are studying a related field e.g. Engineering or Computer Science. You have a background from Engineering or Manufacturing environment and experience in managing, administering and implementing of PLM environments. You are used to responding to shifting priorities in a fast paced and changing environment. You are service minded with a customer focus, experienced in planning and organizing, and your skills to coordinate and interact with team members are excellent. Since our customers have businesses around the world, fluency in English is mandatory. Willingness to travel is also a requirement. You are proactive, self-motivated and one with lot of initiative, courage and integrity and a business minded, result oriented attitude.
