Wolt is a Finnish technology company and we’re best known for our food delivery platform. On our mobile app or website, customers can order their favorite meals from our restaurant partners, and either pick their order up or have it delivered by our courier partners.

Our expansion has brought with it new challenges around scaling our IT together with the rest of the organization. Currently, our IT team does a great job in ensuring that our everyday runs smoothly. They enable our people to concentrate on what they do best, by keeping our internal IT running in multiple ways, so that everything 'just works'.

However, we’re always striving to be the best we possibly can, and now is the right time to bring in additional skills to help us achieve this. As such, we’re looking for a hands-on IT Manager to help lead the team, while also providing the strategic vision and setting the roadmap for this next phase of growth.

Our IT team is responsible for running and developing our software and hardware support, software license and access management, vendor management, networks, internal software architecture, information security support and basically all other development and maintenance projects related to our internal IT. 

Your first task will be to understand our current processes and solutions architecture. From there, you’ll be expected to implement a plan to achieve ‘best practice’ that allows for scalability and aligns with our longer term business objectives. Quite importantly, you’ll also be leading a small team of experienced IT professionals and will need to keep their development needs front and centre of your plans. 

Core responsibilities can be broken down to:

• Lead our internal IT team and operations globally, ensuring that Wolt people get the best possible IT support and experience possible

• Build and own our IT roadmap to ensure we have the future scalability needed in our extremely fast growing environment 

• Ownership of our internal IT processes, IT support and networks

• Build and maintain our vendor network in a way that we have reliable IT vendors across all of our markets. 

• Own our solution architecture and landscape, when it comes to the internal solutions we use.

• Have responsibility for our IT budget

As this is such a pivotal role for us, we need someone that has the perfect blend of both soft and hard skills. You’ll need to be able to lead a team, create a strategy and a roadmap, deliver on projects and get your hands dirty in the process! As such, we’re looking for someone that has: 

• Proven ability to build and lead an IT team in a multi-country, extremely fast-paced environment. 

• Strong knowledge of basic internal IT systems and hands on experience of internal solution architecture design

• Familiarity with IT service management practices

• Previous experience in vendor management and building a strong, global IT vendor network that scales with the organization. 

• Excellent project management and process design skills in the area of internal IT

• Very hands on approach and way of working. Our IT team is small in size so it needs a ‘hands dirty’ approach in the day-to-day things.
