As an HBL Controller and member of HBL management team, your role is to support business to implement strategy and to drive business performance. You will optimize financial performance on local business line level through local product groups in the Marine and Ports business in Helsinki. The role requires strong operative focus and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to provide proactive support in a broad portfolio of financial matters. Your tasks will include supporting business decisions by monitoring, analysing and interpreting financial data in order to evaluate various business alternatives and recommend the most appropriate business solutions. You will drive the definition and implementation of global standards and business-specific guidelines in financial control processes. Your responsibilities

Financial management and reporting including monthly closing, estimate and budget process. Risk management including participating in the local risk reviews during the tendering phase following ABB Group’s risk management process and guidelines. Project control process in the unit including supporting local product group controllers, project managers and other stakeholders in financial matters. As a member of local unit management team, you will drive profit and cost management and estimation including business, project and cost center level estimates and analysis. Supporting in ensuring that the company governance model and internal controls are in place and implemented in the unit and any identified deficiencies are rectified immediately. Proactively collaborating with local business counterparts and taking on the role of a sparring partner in financial matters. Your background

Master´s degree in a relevant field. Several years’ experience as a Controller of a major unit with a strong operative background in controlling. Proven history in a role of Controller/Finance Manager with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders. You have worked as a line manager and have an ability to set clear targets for your team members and give them structured and constructive feedback on their performance. Your communication style is open and transparent. As a line manager, you are a structured and results-oriented person with strong analytical and cross-cultural communication skills. Good command of the English language is a must, Finnish language is a strong advantage. Experience in project delivery or service business in a global business environment is an advantage.
