Unity is seeking a software engineer to join our Mobile team to help the most widely used game engine on mobile evolve to its next generation. From improving the in-editor developer experience and runtime performance optimization, to platform-specific and low-level graphics APIs (Metal, Vulkan, OpenGL ES) integration, you will contribute to framing the end-to-end workflow of Unity for mobile platforms.

Your experience in high-performance graphics rendering and engine-level tech on mobile or console platforms and your attention to writing fast and maintainable code will contribute to making Unity stronger, and better empower the millions of Unity developers to create successful games played by billions. Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-quality software products and services for games used by millions every day
• Interface with multiple internal teams to ensure company and product needs are met within the timelines and budgets outlined
• Contribute and collaborate with a global team of engineers

Requirements

• Strong skills working with low-level C++/C/Objective-C code with native Android and/or iOS development experience
• Experience with at least one of Metal, Vulkan, OpenGL ES APIs, understanding of modern mobile GPU architectures
• Mobile devices profiling and optimization experience, performance-minded development
• Strong initiative and ability to work independently, ability to travel to visit partners or other Unity offices
• Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and tasks

Bonus points

• OpenGL / Direct3D experience
• Game development experience
• Cross-platform development experience
• Experience using Unity’s engine and tools
• Comfortable with 3D math and graphics algorithms
