We are now looking for two Development Engineers to join our Biorefinery Development Center in Lappeenranta Finland. One of the positions is permanent and one is fixed term for 1-2 years.

 What you’ll do  

As a development engineer you are responsible of Piloting plant operations and development. You lead a team of operators and you work in close co-operation with our Biofuels, Biochemicals and Pulp businesses. You take new pilots into use and improve existing ones. In addition, your responsibilities include:

  • Responsibility of pilot trials safety, organizing, scheduling and resources

  • Responsibility of the team members safety and pilot plant development

  • Planning, developing and modification of new and existing pilot processes

  • Handle pilot processes and used methods deeply

  • Act as a substitute for chemical controller of the plant

  • Act as a substitute of the other pilot plant development engineer

  

Who you are  

  • You have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or chemical/process engineering

  • You have knowledge of quality control and responsibility of maintaining it

  • You have good knowledge of IT tools (MS Office, LIMS, QF Handbook, OWD, SAP, OneSafety)

  • You have experience in leading teams

  • You have good problem solving and communication skills and you can work under pressure

  • You have desire and willingness to develop your skills at work

  • You are fluent in Finnish and have a good level of English
