Wolt is looking for a Team Lead to join our brand new Merchant Integrations team based in Helsinki. The team is emerging from our existing Merchant product team, to focus on a smooth experience for all of Wolt's merchant partners.

Wolt has close to 10,000 merchants on the platform, and that means a lot of purchase data going both ways. We've already had a Merchant product team in place for a number of years, that has tirelessly worked on making the Merchant experience on Wolt as much of a joy as the Wolt experience is for our consumer users. Now it's time to level up, and ensure a painless data flow between our Merchant's systems (f.ex. inventory management, POS), and ours. The team is building our own self-service API, as well as custom integrations for our biggest merchant partners.

We're looking for someone to take the helm of the team. The team will have 2 skilled engineers moving over from the existing team, and we want to bring you in to strengthen the team with your hands on development skills combined with leadership abilities. You know what it takes to develop top quality software, take care of people and achieve ambitious goals together. You are an engineer and a people leader rolled into one. You'll be a facilitator and an enabler for the team to do what they do best, by making personal development plans, hosting regular 1on1s and taking part in the future recruitment, while also being a productive developer. We estimate you to spend 70% of your time coding and 30% team leading. It's a small team, but we expect there to be needs to grow it later on.

In terms of your technical abilities, we'd hope you to be skilled in JVM technologies, preferably Kotlin. We use Kotlin, but if you're confident with your Java skills you're sure to pick that up quickly even if you've not developed with it before. It would be absolutely golden if you have any experience of working with Point of Sale or inventory management systems.

The compensation will be a negotiable combination of monthly pay and Wolt stock options. The latter make it exceptionally easy to be excited about our company growing and doing well, as you'll own a piece of the pie.
