Right now, we are looking for a Senior Network Architect to Network Software team in Stockholm or in Helsinki.

I am Toni Satola and I am leading the Network Software team. This is a team with experienced Senior Network Architects leading the development of Telia Telco Cloud.

The Network Software team has the mission to define and drive implementation of Telco Cloud and related operations that establish the foundation for network services in Telia Company as a new generation telco. The main goals are to drive the virtualization, automation and orchestration of network functions. The team drives the journey ahead by engaging with stakeholders, drive POC’s, evaluates, and assesses new technologies and challenges current ways of working to enable necessary speed in development and evolution.

I find our journey ahead of Telia Company interesting and I am fully committed to drive the needed changes and development. I believe the needed changes start with individuals, but require close collaboration with others. I and my team members are working according to this philosophy.

Your next challenge?

In your role you will work in the technology unit with the main tasks of developing and driving the target architecture by outlining the journey ahead that takes us from a technology oriented, traditional dc, and network infrastructure to a software defined and service oriented business enabler. You will explain new business opportunities as well as key technology enablers to our commercial and business stakeholders. In practice, main tasks of the role is to drive and lead the Telco Cloud architecture including virtualized infrastructure, orchestration, and automation of the platform without forgetting the operational and process aspects.

Who are you?

• You likely have solid technical background with deep knowledge of networking and IT with formal degree in Engineering or equivalent education.
• You are experienced in cloud and virtualization technologies, but also have understanding of organizational and process aspects of these areas.
• In best case you also have strong development background or at least a mindset of a software developer and you also might have experience working in an agile DevOps organization.
• You are result oriented and self going.
• You have good social skills and are willing to take lead.
• You enjoy challenges and you are always eager to learn new things.

You should also have:

• Strong knowledge about networking and infrastructure technologies.
• Understanding of operational and process aspects of network and IT operations.
• Experienced in architecture and strategy areas.
• Knowledge of SAFe and devops.
