The Faculty of Social Sciences invites applications for the position of

UNIVERSITY LECTURER IN WORLD POLITICS

for a fixed-term period from 4 January 2021 to 31 July 2022.

The duties of the present university lecturer will include providing teaching in accordance with the degree requirements, supervising and examining theses and dissertations, and conducting research.

QUALIFICATIONS

The appointee is required to possess an applicable doctoral degree, to have the ability to provide high quality research-based teaching and to supervise theses and dissertations

We especially value expertise in global political economy, involving economic theories, approaches to world politics, and methodology and philosophy of social sciences. Moreover, worldwide networks and the successful acquisition of external research funding will be given particular consideration.

To successfully attend to the duties of the position, the appointee must have good English skills.

When assessing the qualifications of each applicant, attention will be paid to:
• scientific publications
• other scholarly activities
• teaching experience, supervision of theses and dissertations and other pedagogical merits
• pedagogical training
• the development of teaching
• the production of learning material
• interview.

The annual gross salary range will be approx. €42,800–65,500, depending on the appointee’s qualifications and experience.
