If you want to be part of a diverse community developing and cloudifying Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) for 4G/5G core network solutions. These VNF/CNF based networks are deployed globally and used 24/7. Then this is the role for you.

Together with your agile team, you will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions that powers the networks of the future. But we don't want you for your technical expertise alone- to be able to succeed in this role you thrive on collaboration, have phenomenal communication skills and the ability to take the technical lead and mentor others. The ideal person for this role is exited to take on a key influencing role within the team and community both inside and outside of Ericsson.

Key Qualifications:

• MSc/BSc degree in Computer Science, Communications engineering, , related technical field or equivalent practical experience
• At least 5 years of general software programming experience in C, C++, Erlang, Python or Java
• You are familiar with at least one of: Cloud computing platforms, Linux Containers, Kubernetes
• Experience on real-time, large-scale distributed systems
• IP networking and protocol programming knowledge
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms and software design with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Comfortable with modern software development tools such as Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, etc.
• Keen interest on test automation and scripting
• Experience with product maintenance and customer support

We believe it would be great if you also have previous experience with:

• Large systems software design and development experience
• Cloud application programming
• VNF development experience
• Experience with Software Defined Networking, Network Function Virtualization, OpenFlow
• Experience with open source projects
• Experience with cloud and application platforms, AWS, Google Cloud, MS Azure
