ABOUT THE ROLE  

The Senior Data Scientist position is a newly created role here at ultimate.ai that will build our data science function from scratch. In this role, you will work cross functionally to understand needs in order to build and deploy solutions for both structured and unstructured data.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Defines datasets needed for executing on identified opportunities
• End to end cycle of data model production from conceptual design, production and to monitor and automate Data Models
• Design and implementation of statistical and machine learning models for obtaining insights from data
• Lead and project manage insights work, including supporting the work of cross functional colleagues. 
• Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to key stakeholders. 

ABOUT YOU

• 5+ years of experience in data science and statistics; ideally has experience building/managing a team. 
• Degree in applied mathematics, statistics, computer science, machine learning, computer engineering, physics, or related field. 
• Acumen for business flow understanding and expertise in data preparation, data mining, and pre-processing. 
• Applied statistics and machine learning experience (regression analysis, time series, probabilistic models, supervised and unsupervised methods)
• Ability to choose the right tool and analytical method appropriate for the the problem, balancing between speed, accuracy, and interpretability
• Proficiency in Python and experience with open-source ML libraries and frameworks like Scikit-learn, PyTorch, and Tensorflow highly desirably. 
• Working experience in different databases and storages like MongoDB, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Hadoop and cloud blob stores
• English fluency
