We are looking for a colleague to our Power System team supporting our customers with integrated power system analysis and decarbonisation services aiming to reduce emissions, improve efficiency and ensure stability of the power system. We do this by studying the dynamic behaviour of the power system, developing control concepts that optimize reliability and operations as well as reduce the overall emissions and energy costs for our customers. 

Responsibilities


•    Identify, design and develop control concepts for decarbonisation service projects. 
•    Modelling and simulations to validate the power system control concepts.
•    Analysing Grid code requirements and how Wärtsilä’s solutions comply with them.
•    Co-create developments with team members, suppliers and partners  
•    Drive our Wärtsilä values and purpose 
 
Requirements


•    You hold a Master’s degree or higher in Electric power engineering with more than 2 years of relevant experience 
•    Strategic mindset and scenario work, seeing the big picture and plan for the future  
•    You have good experience within power system control and stability
•    Ability to develop and communicate power system control concepts
•    Experience from Grid code requirements
•    Good analytical and troubleshooting skills 
•    Fluent written and spoken English 
 
Skills/experience that are seen as a plus


•    You have good experience within power system modelling and simulation in PowerFactory
•    Coordination skills; suppliers, internal and external customers 
•    Power plant site experience
•    Thermal based power plant processes and their control 
•    Ability to think out-of-the-box and challenge conventional ways of working  
•    Analytical skills, as well as creative thinking and problem-solving skills  
•    Planning and execution skills
