About the Position 

As Head of Impact & Insights, you will be empowered to take a proactive, strategic, and detail-oriented approach to ensure HR strengthens strategic alignment with the businesses and becomes more people-centric, as perceived by our ~19,000 people, ultimately linking HR services delivery with business performance. You are passionate about maximizing the business and strategic impact of the team, HR as a whole and about organisational effectiveness. You are motivated to ensure world-class HR delivery with modern technology infrastructure, effective ways of working and an engaging employee experience. Location for the position is open.

In this role, you will focus on the following

  • Be a visionary expertise leader and change agent who will continue the transformation of the HR strategy and people priorities to align with the company’s ambition and global operating model. Drive an entrepreneurial and creative approach to developing new, innovative ideas in HR Technology and Business Insights that will stretch the organization 

  • Effectively follow and communicate trends, opportunities, legislation changes and other relevant related data on a timely basis to the executive team and, when appropriate, recommend a course of action to effectively manage impacted/assigned plans.  

  • Consult with and provide direction, guidance and solutions to global HR and business leaders on business insights, people analytics and HR technology related matters.  

  • Collaborate with other stakeholders such as finance to optimize value, reduce risk, evaluate options, and make recommendations to executive leadership  

  • Manage high-level relationships with consultants and other vendors 

HR Business Impact 

  • Capture opportunities and prioritise activities to ensure we drive the highest impact work across HR in pursuit of business objectives 

  • Create and implement accurate plans, develop success metrics and storyline for HR vision, strategy and initiatives both internally and externally 

  • Monitor and improve capacity for operating HR as if it were a future-ready business, identify gaps or inefficiencies. Develop KPIs and follow up systems to support. 

  • Lead budget planning and forecasting, hiring strategy, and resource management supporting HR leadership 

  • Work closely with communications specialists to communicate HR vision and strategy effectively internally and externally  

Organisational Effectiveness 

  • Identify, analyze, and develop strategies to improve organisational health 

  • Together with key stakeholders in the business, translate organisational strategy into people priorities, interpret the implications and plan ahead to adapt changes to the HR strategy, roadmap and operating model 

  • Set up effective and efficient governance model to guide the work in HR, prioritise competing activities appropriately, whilst securing sufficient resourcing is available 

  • Build and maintain the HR global community 

Analytics Practice Development 

  • Guided by metrics and measurement, your role is to ensure HR has the analytical skills and technological infrastructure to provide the business with the information and tools it needs to make fact-based decisions 

  • Develop practices to ensure HR can be held accountable for the return on investments made in an organisation’s people 

  • Establish capabilities to measure and monitor the value created by those investments (e.g. using company data to show that current mobility programs are achieving the desired outcome in developing bench strength) 

  • Champion the need for HR to think differently about showing return and embrace fact-based decision making 

  • Develop workforce metrics and measurement and provide expertise to help the organization report on, understand and manage human capital metrics – equipping it with the tools to convey trends in workforce data, identify areas at risk, or analyse the return and impact of specific HR initiatives 

Analysis and Insights Development 

  • Identify issues across the organization, distill and synthesise insights and create executable paths to solve them  

  • Organise and prioritise critical issues and required information to guide leadership towards clear, efficient and accountable decision-making 

  • Develop and deploy a HR impact scorecard, ensuring scorecard meets the needs of key stakeholders within HR and businesses and is updated on a regular basis to keep all stakeholders abreast of the progression of HR and business alignment 

  • Enable frank discussions and open feedback culture whilst providing the connection points between strategic ideas 

Innovation and Thought Leadership 

  • Engage with the business to understand current requirements, anticipate future needs and challenge the current ways of working to provide new solutions 

  • Apply digital environment and emerging technology knowledge to create better solutions 

  • Engage with key internal stakeholders and external vendors/ partners both in business and IT functions 

  • Provide on-going thought leadership, coaching, and advice to business and HR team 

Your people leadership responsibilities will be: 

  • Develop, mentor and retain high-performing impact and insights experts focused on strategic collaboration with a solution-oriented approach to achieve business results.  

  • Lead a team of impact and insights experts, defining the appropriate team structure roles, responsibilities and interdependencies; establish objectives and priorities; develop capabilities within the team.  

  • Work effectively across reporting lines within the Communities of Expertise, across HR and the business, in project mode covering agile and traditional waterfall. 

About You 

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone with: 

  • Ability to understand business strategies and translate these into actionable and compelling impact and insights development initiatives 

  • Proficiency and/ or formal qualification in data analysis, statistical analysis and/or modeling, financial analysis  

  • Technical literacy, such as working knowledge of python, machine learning and/or R a plus 

  • Experience in data-focused role such as business analytics, business intelligence, statistics, or data science 

  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, such as SQL, R, Tableau, Power BI 

  • Highly resourceful, self-driven with the ability to partner, execute, and lead through influence and collaboration – across the company 

  • Experience in business case development and financial analysis 

  • Innovative thinking applied to identify opportunities to deliver business impact 

  • Agile working and good prioritisation skills 

  • Strong ability to analyse data and discern business insights, able to identify anomalies in data and solve them quickly and effectively 

  • Comfortable and proficient in collaborating and engaging with various technical teams and vendor partners 

  • Effective project management skills, driving closure on key milestones and overseeing timely delivery 

  • Adaptive with proven abilities to effectively partner and engage with cross functional team and process experts 

  • Passion for technology integration, and quickly gaining exposure to new platforms, and bringing attention to detail and fresh perspective to improve usability and effectiveness 

  • Proven track record in coaching and managing individual and team performance to ensure successful execution of work; demonstrated ability to develop teams for high performance and build a deep bench of talent 

  • Demonstrated curiosity and capacity for learning
