We are now looking for Application Software Developer, Data Driven Controls to whom developing automation control system either using C/C++ or Matlab/Simulink augmented with Data Science is the call. We develop and maintain engine control systems for all Wartsila engines and to various energy and power control systems using simulated and real physical targets. Your typical day will include

- Collecting engine data from various sources, cleansing and curating the data, visualize and analyze data, investigating and selecting modelling method, developing system model from data, deploying model to control system development, test model and control in simulated environment and in the engine, industrialize it to engine product.
- Maintenance and troubleshooting issues in production systems

Required Skills

- Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Automation Technology, Process Technology, Data Science, Robotics or similar
- Good skills in data science in general or preferably in data driven controls
- Knowledge with agile development practises DevOps, especially continuous integration, automated testing and continuous delivery is a plus
- Good teamworking and communication skills are essential
- Fluency in verbal and written English, English is our main daily working language
- Experience with the following is a big advantage: Matlab/Simulink, C/C++, Atlassian toolset & Git
