Job Description


We are looking for an experienced and passionate Restaurant Supervisor to join our team in the Northern Lights Village. In this position you will overtake a variety of responsibilities and duties such as training, overseeing food quality, managing inventory, creating work schedules and making orders as well as greeting and serving restaurant guests.

Restaurant Supervisor responsibilities are:

  • Overseas the dining area and supervises food and beverage service staff in accordance with operating policies.
  • Provides feedback and coaching to the team regularly.
  • Works with food and beverage staff to ensure proper food presentation and proper food-handling procedures.
  • Handle guest complaints.
  • Schedules periodic food and beverage service staff meetings to ensure correct interpretation of policies and obtain feedback from staff members.
  • Maintain budget and employee records.
  • Meet with sales representatives to order supplies and goods
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment and other services.
  • Ensures new products are executed properly the following roll-out.
  • Effectively forecasts restaurant needs, priorities shifts and goals as work demands change.
  • Assist in planning regular and special event Menu.

Restaurant Supervisor requirements are:

  • Fluent spoken and written English & Finnish
  • 2 years of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
  • Degree in tourism, leisure, business administration or related field
  • Extensive food and wine knowledge
  • Committed to delivering high levels of customer service
  • Positive attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
  • Finnish Hygiene Proficiency and Alcohol Legislation Certifications


It would be beneficial for a Restaurant Supervisor to:

  • Speak other languages: Finnish, Chinese, Japanese, German, Spanish and French are an advantage.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry
  • Have knowledge of the local area
  • Adaptability and flexibility


Pay, duration and benefits:

  • Minimum 90 working hours per 3 weeks period.
  • Starting in November and until the end of March.
  • Hourly pay negotiated in an interview, according to knowledge and experience
  • Other benefits according to the collective labor agreement.
  • If necessary, the resort provides accommodation in a shared room for €200,00/month
