My name is Oskar Wirmark and I am Head of Identity & Tools at Telia. We are now looking for a Manager for the Digital Connection unit with 6 teams located in Solna, Helsinki and, Vilnius. A possible location for the position also includes Gothenburg and Tallinn in addition to the ones listed above.
As a Manager in Identity & Tools management Team, you will be the foundation for making your teams excel in performance and constantly improve in making your domain awesome!
Your next challenge?
Telia is on a journey towards becoming the New Generation Telco. In the Identity and Tools department, this means continuously working towards more efficient IT- solutions, building in-house competence, continue our ongoing DevOps journey as well as challenging or Way of working.
As Manager of Digital Connection, you will be leading an agile team with competent DevOps engineers charge with implementing Telia IT’s decoupling and integration strategy.
The main responsibilities will be:
Both modern and legacy integration planforms e.g. Api publishing/gateways, Messaging, Streaming, microservices as well as ESB
Lead your team in IT’s DevOps journey and make sure our applications are running 24/7
Lead and grow a team of engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, inspiring, feedback and hands-on personal career development
Lead according to modern, agile and DevOps software development practices and help to create good engineering and organizational practices
Secure way of working together with teams in a global setting
Play a key role in helping the department continue attracting, developing and retaining great talent.
Who are you?
You have a relevant technical university degree and experience from being a manager for agile IT development teams and units. You are also interested in taking the agile and DevOps way of working to the next level and together with your colleagues drive changes towards more efficient ways of working. You are strong within people management and find it challenging and interesting to work cross-border with colleagues from Telia’s 6 main countries.
Your personality:
Strong interest in team development and ability to make people grow
You enjoy cooperating with others and you are good at listening and analyzing
You are driven, result-oriented and proactive
You display a positive outlook and high level of integrity
You encourage cooperation and trust towards business and users, as well as with vendors.
Your experience:
Experience in leading DevOps teams in with deep technical skills in complex environments.
Relevant bachelors or master’s degree in engineering or computer science
Interest to follow new agile and tech trends
You possess a deep understanding of how to translate product and business goals into maintainable technical solutions
Strong track record of delivery of software with high availability expectations/SLAs
Fluent in English.
