Our ZenRobotics family is growing and we are looking for a Senior Program Manager to join our R&D organisation. 

ZenRobotics applies Artificial Intelligence and smart robotic systems to drastically change recycling of waste globally. Intelligent robotic systems can identify and classify waste into high purity materials suitable for re-use in industry. The company is based in Helsinki and currently employs 55 passionate employees. Our first generation of systems are intensively used by pioneering facilities globally, and we pursue wide adoption over the next years. 

Senior Program Manager is a new key position in our R&D organisation. You will be able to use your experience to shape the function and ways of working in an agile world-class R&D environment. 

About the role

In this role, your main focus will be on planning and running product development projects. In practice, you will be responsible for the company’s key new product development or maintenance programs that deliver high quality products that meet the customer needs. You make sure everyone in the project team knows what is expected from them and they have all the needed resources to succeed, while working closely with other company functions.  You are accountable for the quality of the projects and delivering on time and within the budget. As the role is new, you get to start by building your role and related processes in the R&D organisation. This position reports to the VP of R&D.

What it takes to succeed in this role

To succeed in this role, you would need to have at least 5 years of similar working experience with strong technical understanding and you are able to lead technical experts. You have a proven track record of managing successful R&D projects and you might have a PMI certificate or similar. You are a Scrum Master and have worked in an Agile environment before.

As a person you are open minded and a team player. You know that projects can’t be done alone and you prefer proactive ways of working with your team. Your approach to projects is structured and you are used to building up processes and ways of working.
